Breast milk is the best nutrition for babies. But breastfeeding isn't always easy. The Bronson Breastfeeding Center's registered lactation consultants can give you the education and advice to successfully breastfeed.

Trained Peer Counselors provide WIC Eligible women with breastfeeding knowledge, encouragement and support. The peer counselors are available to visit new mothers in the hospital, at the WIC clinic or in their own home. There is no fee for eligible clients. Breastfeeding Peer Counselors are only a phone call away to offer critical assistance.

La Leche League of Kalamazoo & Vicinity

Mother-to-mother breastfeeding support.  All breastfeeding mothers and mothers-to-be interested in breastfeeding are welcome to come to their meetings or call one of their Leaders for breastfeeding help or information. Babies are always welcome at meetings.

Celiac Sprue Association
The Celiac Sprue Association®/ United States of America, Inc. (CSA/USA, Inc) is a member based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to helping individuals with celiac disease and dermatitis herpetiformis worldwide through research, education and support.  They have a local support group in Kalamazoo--visit their website for more information.  They also have a Celiac Kids Network page on their website for info specifically for children.

Food Allergic Families and Friends
Food Allergic Families and Friends (FAFF) is a social, support, and discussion group formed in May 2007, intended for food allergy sufferers, their families, and friends - primarily those who reside in Kalamazoo County, Michigan. FAFF holds informal gatherings on the 3rd Tuesday of each month. They meet from 7:00-8:30pm, at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 1747 W. Milham Ave, Portage, MI 49024. It's a chance to meet each other, share stories, and realize that "we are all in this together."  Web link is their yahoo group.
