Located in downtown Mattawan, this library offers preschool storytime and a summer reading program.  Call them for more information.

Kalamazoo Public Library Branches

KPL has many story times for the following age groups:

Times and locations change monthly, and the age specific storytimes require registration.  KPL offers many other special events including a summer reading program, and tweens/teens classes and workshops, movie nights, and a "drop zone" time.  The Central branch also offers Computer Training Classes for older children and adults, and offers a program especially for teens called T.A.B. (Teen Advisory Board).

They offer storytimes for various ages, plus an after-school book program called Book Voyagers for ages 6 years through 3rd grade. Storytimes for the following age groups include:

  • Book Babies (ages walking - 24 months)

  • Toddler Tales (ages 2 - 3 years)

  • Preschool Pals (ages 3 1/2 - 5 years)

Portage District Library offers all sorts of events for children of all ages, including story times and events for younger children, an American Girl club for girls ages 7-10, and teen activities.  Visit their website for their calendar of events.  Regular storytime age groups include:

  • Mother Goose Storytimes (ages infant - 23 months)

  • Twos Storytimes (2-year-olds, younger siblings welcome)

  • All Together Storytimes (ages 3 -5)

  • Saturday Storytimes (every 4th Saturday, preschoolers)

Ransom District Library
